1985 Mark Shumate #71 Green Bay Packers Game-Worn Helmet

Green Bay Packers game-worn treasures are tough to locate. The team has always been reluctant to market their wares used in NFL competition. This is one of the few helmets to reach the open market.

Offered is a size "7 1/2" helmet from c. 1985 by #71, nose tackle Mark Shumate.  This yellow Riddell helmet has absorbed a tremendous pounding. Numerous scuffs and heavy gouges appear on the helmet. The red dot mask with dark colored side clips and clear top clips show extreme wear. "71" is dymo labeled (green) on the lower back shell. A white warning sticker appears on one side of the white/green/white stripe pattern. AF2 padding (gel-filled) is captured on the inside, as are well worn size "large" leather jaw pads. "5" is written above the right inner ear hole in black marker.

The helmet is originally sourced from a former NFL equipment manager.
