1985 Mike Schmidt Game-Used, Signed Bat

Despite being known as the “City of Brotherly Love”, Philadelphia boasts the toughest fans in the country. Mike Schmidt earned every bit of their respect with his stellar play at third base for 18 seasons. The Philly favorite blasted an astonishing 548 home runs in his Hall of Fame career. This gamer is from 1985, one of the 10 seasons in which he hit 30 or more homers. The uncracked Louisville Slugger R43 shows light use. The barrel contains scant hit marks, as well as some red bat rack marks. The upper handle shows a trace of pine tar. Schmidt’s number “20” is written on the knob in black marker. The barrel is adorned with the Hall of Famer’s signature, written in blue felt tip ink (“8”). The stick is 35 inches long, and weighs in at 32.6 ounces.
