1985 Richard Todd Game-Worn Saints Helmet
Out of stock
Richard Todd was a quarterback who helped the Jets soar in the early 1980s. After experiencing most of his success with the Jets, Todd finished his career with the New Orleans Saints in 1984-85. This late-career Riddell impregnated helmet, with a gold painted outer shell, was worn by Todd during his final two seasons. The proper black/white/black striping is featured on the top, with Saints “fleur de lis” logos on each side. Well faded (#14), each digit is positioned against the left and right black stripes at the lower edge. An oversized ’80s warning sticker is also present. The WD1 interior padding system was incorporated. Adjacent to the left ear hole is an All-American recon shield, and a markered #14. Note – Todd wore #11 when he first arrived in New Orleans prior to changing to the #14 he wore with the Jets. On the right is a 1985 recon sticker. The crown stamp dates the shell to 1982. The jaw pads are missing on the solidly used helmet.
