1986 Eric Hipple Game-Worn Lions Jersey
Out of stock
The Detroit Lions continue their search for a winning formula. One of the men who tried to steer the Lions into the winner’s circle was Eric Hipple. It was Hipple who spent his entire eight-year career with the Lions.
Hipple donned this size "46" road jersey when he played with the Lions. There are two noticeable purple hit scrapes on the front, above the screened-on "1" numeral. Between the NOB and "1" numeral there are more remnants of Vikings helmet scrapes. We can imagine this coming from a Vikings helmet. Our guess is Keith Millard or Chris Doleman got to the quartergack before he was able to escape. Both sleeve ends are open and custom hemmed. "HIPPLE" is appled to a dazzle cloth nameplate on back and crafted in single-color blue tackle twill. Sewn in the tail is a Sand Knit Lions tag and size indicator.
