1986 NY Mets World Championship Black Bat
Out of stock
The New York Mets of 1986 were among the scrappiest of teams in the last 20 years. They may have cruised to a division title and National League pennant but things got extraordinarily tough against the Boston Red Sox World Series. Down to their last out, the Mets somehow found a way to gut out a Game 6 win and then put the Bo Sox down for the final count in the decisive game 7. Nobody will forget the bunch of stars who resided in the Big Apple that season. This Louisville Slugger World Series black bat pays homage to a team which would never give up. The facsimile signatures or names are burned into the barrel of this fine stick in gold. “New York Mets World Champions 1986” is burned in green ink (as is manager Davey Johnson’s name) which really stands out. The bat is free of any major imperfections and would sit nicely atop the mantle of any Mets aficionado.
