1986 Steve Carlton Game-Worn Jersey Signed Giants – COA JSA & 100% Authentic TeamGo Back
After being released by the Phillies, Steve Carlton joined the San Francisco Giants, he also briefly broke his self-imposed boycott of the media to give a press conference after signing with the Giants. Carlton pitched seven shutout innings in a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, in which he also hit a 3-run homer, for his only win as a Giant. Overall, he went 1–3 with a 5.10 ERA in six games for the Giants.
Steve Carlton wore this button-down grey knit San Francisco Giants road jersey during his brief 1986 stint in the Bay. The jersey’s upper left chest has the interlocking “SF” sewn on in black and orange tackle twill. It features black piping around the collar and down the front. “CARLTON” is sewn on in black and orange on a matching gray name plate on the back along with his “32”. The sleeves have a tapered orange/white/black/white/orange pattern. The lower left front tail is tagged “Wilson [size] 46” above an embroidered “32 86” jersey#/year swatch. Wear is appropriately light but definite. The interior is also stamped with team detailing, “PURCHASED FROM SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS”. For added value, Carlton signed his name on the front under the team logo in black felt tip (“9”).
