1987-88 Cal Ripken Game-Used Bat (PSA GU 9.5)

Everything Cal did, he did so with class. Baseball’s best ambassador wasn’t like most superstar athletes. Ripken provided time for his adoring fans and made it a practice to always be in the lineup. And consistent with his character, we doubt there’s a Ripken bat better than this Louisville Slugger model F149 bat, given its impeccable pan style=”FONT-WEIGHT: bold”>PSA GU 9.5. Everything a bat collector would want is right here. Outstanding wear is immediately evident on this legendary lumber (35″ and 31.3 ounces) with a plethora of ball and stitch marks on the left and back barrel. Also apparent are a number of cleat marks. A slight handle crack is the only minor flaw. Judging by the excessive use, to include a light application of pine tar, we surmise Ripken used this bat over a meaningful period (during the 1987 and/or ’88 seasons – the bat’s labeling period). Cal’s “pan style=”FONT-STYLE: italic”>8” appears on the knob in white paint pen. Easily one of the highest professionally esteemed Ripken gamers to ever available.
