1989-90 “In Step” Tour Travel Quilt (Made for Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Crew)

This very large quilt was made specially for the crew on the ?In Step? tour. The reverse of the quilt is an off-pink and the front is composed of, well…a patched quiltwork. Each patch is different, ranging from images of album covers to T-shirt designs. The hand-made comforter (measuring a colossal 88″ x 76″) is in Excellent condition despite its service for a troupe of musicians almost twenty years ago. There are no major objections to the fabric, only a few areas of light wear and very slight, intermittant fraying around some of the seams. This is a beautiful and unique memento – one of meaningful utility as well as a remarkable folk art relic.
