Description

Pete Rose had his most challenging and infamous year in 1989 when he was busted for betting on baseball by then commissioner Bart Giamatti. We all know Pete’s trials and tribulations since with the game that he loved and excelled at for over 20 years. Charlie Hustle wore this [size] “44” Rawlings jersey during that 1989 season while he was a coach. All of the identifiers show even and consistent wear with moderate puckering and softening of the tail tagging. A Rawlings swatch appears in the interior tail as does a “Set 1 1989” flag tag. The identifiers are applied to this great shirt in two-color tackle twill and “ROSE” is sewn directly onto the jersey. Rose added a perfect black felt tip signature to front of the significant piece.
