1990 Larry Sheets Game-Worn Detroit Tigers Helmet

Larry Sheets made most of his noise with the Baltimore Orioles. The lefty had one glorious year in which he hit .316 with 31 home runs before settling back down. Sheets wore this [size] “7 3/8” helmet during the 1990 season with Detroit – his only season in the Motor City. ABC and “9” decals are placed in the back of the helmet. Surface scratches are apparent throughout especially on the top of the crown. The helmet was manufactured for use in Jan. of 1990 and was most likely issued for use for the season.
