1992 Al Toon Game-Worn Jets Jersey

Quiet and unassuming, Al Toon could have been a Hall of Fame candidate if not for multiple concussions he sustained in the course of duty. The three-time Pro Bowler was out of football at the age of 29. But in his eight-year career, Toon grabbed 517 passes for 6,605 yards. Toon wore this size "40" mesh jersey in his final season – 1992. Light-to-moderate wear is apparent with stain marks near the tail tagging. One small, unrepaired tear appears on the verso right sleeve. Featured customizations include custom sleeve ends (which show dirt remnants), triangular underarm inserts and side spandex panels. "TOON" is screened onto a tightly-cropped nameplate. All of the identifiers, including the sleeve striping, are screened on. Tail tagging includes a Jets 1992 exclusivity tag and size tag sewn in tandem. Both tags are ruckled from use and washings.
