1992 Ken Griffey Jr. Game-Used, Signed Bat “1992 Mariners” (PSA GU 9)
Out of stock
Ken Griffey Jr. was at his absolute peak in 1992. The collecting world was infatuated with The Kid and his infectious smile. His numbers in ’92 were Griffey-like: .308 average, 27 home runs and 103 RBIs.
Griffey connected numerous times when he used this model C271 Louisville Slugger bat. The uncracked bat (34.5" and 30.3 ounces) has ball/hit marks on the right, left, back and front barrel, moderate pine tar application and Griffey’s famous zig-zag tape (white athletic) on the handle. There are some blue baseball stamping marks on all angles of the barrel. Griffey Jr. signed the barrel and added "1992" in silver paint pen. PSA bat authenticator John Taube graded this stick GU 9. This style of bat, without a cupped end, is a true rarity for Griffey during the 1992 season. According to Taube he ordered only a dozen or so bats without a cupped end.
