1992 Kirk Gibson Game-Worn, Signed Pirates Jersey
Out of stock
Though best remembered for his slugging in prowess in Detroit and L. A., Kirk Gibson was perfectly compatible to blue-collar Pittsburgh, with his signature five-o’clock-shadow chin. For one season, 1992, Gibson called Pittsburgh home. This gray road [size] “46” jersey was worn by Gibson that season. Gibson personally gave the jersey to popular Los Angeles ESPN radio host Joe McDonald. Light use is shown with minimal fraying on the identifiers and minor label wear. The identifiers are sewn to the shirt in two-color black-on-gold tackle twill, and a Pirates team patch is affixed to the left sleeve. Black/gold/black piping encircles the sleeve ends. Tail tagging includes a Russell Athletic tag, fabric flag tag and a “1” Extra Body Length” flag tag. Gibson acknowledged the jersey with a black felt tip signature (“10”) on the verso.
