1995 #61 Game-Worn New Orleans Saints Helmet (Ed King)

The Saints are vital to the city of New Orleans. Despite going through numerous instances of adversity, the city always has the Saints to count on. Even Hurricane Katrina couldn’t disrupt the love affair shown to the NFL team.

This helmet was used by a member of the Saints in the mid ’90s. A non die-cut "61" is stickered on the lower back striping. The only man to wear #61 in the mid ’90s was guard Ed King – whose first season was 1995. A few surface scratches vouch for use. "61" is written on the right inner ear hole in black maker, and the opposite side has a 1994 recondition sticker. It is our guess that this helmet may have been used in training camp in ’94 and carried over for subsequent use. Two of the helmet clips are from ’93 while the other four were labeled ’94. The NFL shield logo , warning sticker and customized rear bumper are present.
