Shaquille O’Neal took his show on the road when he became a free agent after the 1995-96 season. He landed in Los Angeles – so suitable for his larger-than-life persona. This [size] “56” road purple mesh jersey, which resembles a tablecloth more than anything else, was worn by Shaq during his inaugural 1996-97 season in L.A. Across the front reads “LAKERS”.  Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “34”. All of the identifiers are sewn on in an unique drop-shadow formation. It also features the gold NBA silhouette patch on the right strap to announce the NBA’s 50th Anniversary. Dual Champion tags appear in the tail – exclusivity (with +6″ body length) and size tag. The inner side seam holds a fabric tag.
