1996 Dan O’Brien Olympic Jacket Signed, Worn by O’Brien

This is another memento which was on display at the All-Star Cafe. Dan O’Brien donated the offered Nike size "XL" Olympic jacket to the restaurant chain. This is similar to the Wayne Gretzky goal stick which is also a part of this auction.
According to our consignor, O’Brien wore this exact jacket the night he won a gold medal, during the last event in the decathalong. We must report there is no accompanying paperwork vouching for this claim. The zipper is fully functional. O’Brien signed the front in gold paint pen and inscribed "Gold 96" as well. Residing in the collar is a Nike flag tag and fabric content identifier.
