Description

Manny Ramirez continued to hit well in 1996, batting .309 with 33 home runs and 112 RBIs with the Cleveland Indians. The Indians again reached the playoffs, and Ramirez batted .375 with 2 home runs in the Indians’ loss to the Orioles in the 1996 American League Division Series. In 1997, Ramirez’s contact continued to improve, though his power dipped slightly, as he hit .328 with 26 home runs and 88 RBIs. This year, the Indians again reached the World Series, and Ramirez batted .154 with two home runs as the Indians lost to the Florida Marlins in seven games.

Presented is one of Manny Ramirez’s blue mesh worn batting practice jerseys from 1996. The front has the Chief Wahoo Indians logo patch sewn on and the back has his jersey number “24” sewn on in layered red white. Front tail tagging shows it is a Russell Athletic Diamond Collection jersey with [size] 50 with fabric flap and date code “1996” (computerized swatch). Sleeve feature patch with Indians Champion’s ’95 logo on left. Shows great use throughout.
