Michael Jordan was no stranger to sensational performances. The man who made a living magnetizing fans on a regular basis, saved one of the best for his final NBA Finals appearance. In a pivotal Game 6 performance against the Utah Jazz, MJ hit a mid-range jumper in the waning seconds as the Bulls won their sixth title under His Airness.
This would be the end of the line for Jordan with the Bulls though. During his last running with the Bulls, Jordan wore this [size] “50” jersey. While we can’t confirm that this was the jersey worn during “The Shot,” it’s one of only a handful of possible road shirts. The centerpiece in this amazing shirt is the NBA Finals patch which wonderfully adorns the right breast. The NBA introduced Finals patches beginning in 1995-96. Tremendous use is shown with noticeable and consistent fraying on the identifiers. All of the identifiers are applied to the jersey in two-color tackle twill. Tail tagging includes a wavering Nike swatch, along with a “Length +4” flag tag. Smaller Bulls and NBA tags are also a part of the tail tagging.
The inside side seam has “1997-98” and fabric flag tags. Jordan himself contributed greatly to this historic offering by penning a flawless signature (“10”) in silver paint pen on the verso “2.” AMI has brokered several All-Star Jordan jerseys, regular season jerseys and shorts, numerous pairs of shoes.but this is the first 1997-98 NBA Finals MJ we’ve ever seen. A jersey with truly historic significance.
A great Michael Jordan game worn jersey.
