1997 Eddie Murrray Game-Used, Signed Bat (Used during the final season of his 21-year career)

From the final season of his 21-year career is this Eddie Murray game-used bat. The uncracked model 294A Adirondack is 35.5″ and 34.5 oz., and its Rawlings stamp isolates it to 1997 – his only season with the Angels. The bat has a few shallow dents in the barrel and rack marks on both the barrel and the handle, but no other conspicuous indications of field duty are evident. Aside from the stamped model number, we note his familiar “33” felt-tipped on the knob. Equally familiar is his distinctively graceful autograph appearing on the barrel along with the #”33″ identifier. The bat dates to Murray’s twilight on the diamond and reflects the legacy he now shares as the third player ever to attain 500 home runs and 3,000 hits.
