Description

The Chicago Bulls fell to a 0-1 deficit during the 1998 NBA Finals when Karl Malone, John Stockton and the rest of the Utah Jazz defeated the visiting team, 88-85. With an immediate win needed, Michael Jordan put together another one of his clutch performances, leading the Bulls to a much-needed 93-88 victory in Utah. The series moved to Chicago for game three. In front of a packed house, the Bulls devastated the Jazz with every uniformed player scoring for Chicago. This brought the Bulls to an unbelievable 96–54 victory over the Jazz. Offered is a game ball used in that memorable Game 3 played at the United Center on June 7, 1998. The ball was given to a business associate of the team in the locker room after the game. This immaculate sphere is an official Spalding ball, with the David Stern facsimile and “Chicago Bulls” branding on the surface. That evening Michael Jordan signed one of the panels in bold black felt tip. Excellent playoff wear is evident on this virtually one-of-a-kind piece.
