1998 Fred McGriff Game-Worn Jersey Devils Rays – COA Team Paperwork

Rated 5 out of 5 based on 1 customer rating

Winning Bid: $350.00

Description

Fred McGriff was a quiet assassin who finished only seven homers shy of 500. During his career, Crime Dog had 2,490 hits and 493 home runs. When it came time to finish up his career, McGriff chose Florida as his destination.

Presented is one of McGriff’s game jerseys worn during the inaugural season of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 1998.  It is a “[size] 46” home jersey. Overall, moderate wear is shown on the button-up garment with puckering and fraying on the three-color tackle twill identifiers. The front team name in shades of green/yellow/blue has cross-hatched textured twill for added aesthetics. Situated on the left sleeve is a Devil Rays Inaugural Season patch.  The front tail tagging includes: “Russell Athletic size,” fabric content, “2” Extra Length” and “-1″ Sleeve Length.” Overall, a perfect example of an early Devil Rays jersey worn by a top level player in his generation. As an added bonus, it comes with a letter of authenticity from the Tampa Bay Devil rays.
