1998 Santana Moss Game-Worn Jersey Signed Twice Miami Hurricanes – COA 100% Authentic Team

Santana Moss attended the University of Miami, and joined the Miami Hurricanes football team in 1997 as a walk-on, before being awarded a scholarship after the season’s third game. He went on to break the Hurricanes’ record (previously held by Michael Irvin) for most receiving yards (with 2,546 yards). He finished his 2000 senior season with 1,604 all-purpose yards, received first-team All-Big East Conference honors, and was recognized a consensus first-team All-American.[1] Moss also became the first player to earn Big East Offensive Player of the Year and Special Teams Player of the Year honors in the same season.

Presented from their collection is a Santana Moss Miami Hurricanes game-worn jersey from 1998. It is an orange Hurricanes home jersey, that is multi-layered and designed by Nike.  It features double-ply stretchy shoulder material, appliquéd traditional sleeve striping, and inspired art around the neck and sleeve ends. Of note, is the particularly rich hue of orange which showcases the mesh portion of the body. It features Moss’ number “6” printed on the chest, back, and shoulders in white with black borders. Note, Miami used drop shadowed numbers beginning in 1996.

On the back nameplate, “MOSS” is printed across the back shoulders in white lettering. The front chest features a Big East logo, a white Nike swoosh and the Miami “U” logo. The sides of the jersey are elasticized for fit.

A size “46” tag with a handwritten “1” designator for game worn in black felt tip is sewn in collar. The wide receiver preferred a custom/cut hemmed style jersey and this has those features. The jersey shows mild-to-moderate wear overall.

For added measure, Moss signed the back of the jersey twice in black felt tip . Once near the nameplate (“7-8”) and on the jersey number (“4-5”).
