1999 Barry Bonds SF Giants Game-Used Sam Bat PSA GU 9

The wait is finally over. Barry Bonds is the all-time home run king. Nobody can dispel what Mr. Bonds has done on the baseball field. His home run record was 22 years in the making. This SAM bat (33 1/2″ and 31.2 ounces) was used by Bonds when he first started to swing maple bats – 1999. According to the manufacturer’s date stamped on the end of the barrel ( 4-17-99) this stick was made just in time for use in the ’99 campaign. Bonds swung Louisville Sluggers for the majority of the ’98 season before switching to the Canadian maple bats. This bat (professionally repaired) shows tremendous use with ball marks on all sides of the barrel. The handle is shaved, a staple in Bonds game-used bats from this time period. A PSA/DNA sticker is affixed to the knob while the bat’s dimensions are located on the barrel end. PSA bat authenticator John Taube gave a grade of GU 9 on this fine specimen.
