1st Year 1977 Toronto Blue Jays Inaugural Team-Signed OAL

Out of stock

SKU: 39751 Category:

The Toronto Blue Jays played their first game on April 7, 1977 against the Chicago White Sox and won the snowy affair 9-5, led by Doug Ault’s two home runs. That win would be one of only 54 of the 1977 season, as the Blue Jays finished in last place in the AL East, with a record of 54-107. Yet during that summer they were the delight of the city’s baseball fans who joined with the team to start creating a legacy. This is an awesome team ball from that inaugural year which has 33 signatures on it, all in blue ballpoint. They grade out in the “8” to “9” range, and the ball is in excellent to near mint condition with very slight toning. It’s a terrific display piece with autographs of Pete Vuckovich, Doug Rader, Jim Clancy, Rick Cerone, Alan Ashby, Pedro Garcia, Hector Torres, Jerry Garvin, Sam Ewing, Jerry Johnson, Mike Darr, Tom Bruno, Steve Bowling, Bob Bailor, Dave Lemanczyk, Jeff Byrd, Ron Fairly, Otto Valez, Mike Willis, John Scott, Roy Howell, Steve Staggs, Phil Roof, Gary Woods, Al Woods, Dave McKay, Tim Nordbrook, Doug Ault, Roy Hartsfield (on the sweet spot), Bob Miller, Harry Warner, Don Leppert, and Jackie Moore.
