2000 Roger Clemens Yankees Game-Used Bat

Mike Piazza would love to throw one of these in the direction of Roger Clemens if the two ever come in contact again. The two surefire Hall of Famers crossed paths during the 2000 World Series when Clemens sawed off Piazza and broke his bat. The head of the bat rolled out to the Rocketman and he inexplicably threw it at Piazza as he headed to first base. Both stared each other down and in the end Clemens’ Yankees copped the World Series title. This bat hail from 2000, when Clemens won his first and only World Series title. The Adirondack model CD44 bat (34.5″ and 31.2 ounces) shows good use for a pitcher’s bat. Heavy bat rack marks appear near the trademark and a few ball scuffs have also found their way onto the amazing stick. A light layering of pine tar has been applied to the handle. “00” is punched into the knob which pins down the season, and “32 Clemons” (sic) is written in blue ballpoint on the end as well. Most people don’t think hitting when the name Roger Clemens comes up, but this is definitely a representation of a game-used bat of the utmost quality from the game’s biggest current name.
