Description

Derrek Lee was traded, along with prospects, to the Florida Marlins in 1998 for Kevin Brown. He was a member of the 2003 World Series Marlins championship team. Lee won his first Gold Glove during the 2003 championship season and his spectacular grab and unassisted putout on a hard hit Hideki Matsui one-hop line drive snuffed out a Yankees rally and ended Game 5 of the World Series with a Marlins victory. The Marlins went on to win the World Series in Game 6.

Presented is a game worn jersey from Lee’s time with the Miami Marlins in 2002. This one is from the “Throw Back the Clock” game in July. It features “MARLINS” across the chest in orange/blue with his number “25” on the bottom. The back features “LEE” and his number below. The front tail tagging is Mitchell & Ness Cooperstown Collection [size] 4 XL.  It was graded Mears A10 and features paperwork from him.
