2002 Jerry Rice Game-Worn Raiders Helmet

Out of stock

SKU: 34463 Category:

This Jerry Rice Raiders helmet was used during the 2002 season when the Raiders went to the Super Bowl. During that remarkable season, Rice went over the 1000 yard mark for the last time in his career. His overall 92 catches netted him 1211 yards. This was also the year he experimented with “the Revolution” helmet after a career’s loyalty to Air/Riddell. The traditional black stripe and Raiders side logos remain, as does the block font numeric identifier “80” on the lower back shell. Flanking the black number are the NFL shield, 9/11 flag and warning sticker. Clips from “01” hold the unusual mask in place. The inner padding is intact and there are dual-markered “80” designators in the upper crown. The outer shell shows light wear while the forehead pad shows good wear. Rare, as far as Rice headgear goes, as Rice returned to his conventional helmet makers after this year-long trial.
