2003 Hank Blalock Signed, Inscribed All-Star Uniform w/Jersey and Pants (Game-Winning Homer Off Gagne), COA Blalock

Hank Blalock picked a national stage to rock Eric Gagne. At the 2003 All-Star Game, no less, Blalock stepped to the plate in the eighth inning against the game’s most dominating closer. The first-time All-Star picked out a Gagne offering and deposited the pitch over the wall, as a stunned hurler gazed into the gloaming. What makes this all the more impressive is that this home run was belted during Gagne’s unprecedented 84-straight-save streak. Blalock signed the unique garment, adding the inscription, “My Game Worn 2003 All-Star Jersey. Two-Run Homerun Off Eric Gagne In My First All-Star Game.” The jersey shows light but evident use – to be expected in a shirt worn for just one game. A special All-Star patch is affixed on the right sleeve, and a Rangers team patch adorns the left sleeve. The tail tagging includes a Majestic Authentic label, along with “Set 3 2003” and [size] “48” flag tags. All of the identifiers on the jersey are sewn on in two-color tackle twill. Included are the pants (completing the original uniform), which are also signed in black felt tip. Though now repaired, the pants once sustained a 5″ hole. Blalock signed the pants “2003 All-Star Game.” The winner will also receive a letter signed from Blalock attesting to the authenticity of this entire ensemble.
