Presented from their collection is a Kellen Winslow II Miami Hurricanes game-worn jersey from the 2003 Orange Bowl. In the game (January 1, 2004), Winslow had 5 receptions for 48 yards. Miami University won the game over Florida State 16-14.
It is a white Hurricanes jersey, that is multi-layered and designed by Nike. It features Winslow’s number “81” screen printed on the chest, back, and shoulders in green with orange borders. On the back nameplate, “WINSLOW” is printed across the back shoulders in green lettering.
The front chest features a Big East patch, a green Nike swoosh and the Miami “U” logo. Most importantly, it features the Orange Bowl patch as the game designator. The sides of the jersey are elasticized for fit and accented in orange, green, and white. A size “46” tag with a handwritten “1” designator as well as a “X” for game worn in blue felt tip is sewn in collar. The jersey shows supreme wear overall with red facemask/helmet hit marks most noticeable and peppered on the shoulders. They are still visible from the gridiron despite the post-game washing.
