2003 Terrell Owens Game-Issued Jersey 49ers Owned by T. O. COA 100% AuthenticGo Back
Out of stock
Way back when, in the late ‘90s, Terrell Owens was a star on the rise, hoping to replace an aging Jerry Rice as the 49ers’ go-to guy. On the field he was talented…enigmatic…troublesome…charismatic all in the same breath. His amazing talent was rewarded when he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
Presented is one of his game issued jerseys from his time with the San Francisco 49ers in 2003. Before the 2003 season, coach Steve Mariucci was fired and former Seahawks coach Dennis Erickson took over. The ensuing season in 2003 proved subpar as the 49ers finished 7–9. Owens finished with 9 touchdowns before going to the Philadelphia Eagles the next season.
The front of the jersey shows white tackle twill numbers “81” on the chest, shoulders and back, with “OWENS” spelled in block lettering across rear nameplate. The labeling is present in the front tail – Reebok 54 with a year ’03 flag tag. The interior seam tagging shows the fabric content (100% Nylon) as well as size 54. The shirt itself shows no wear characteristics deeming it game issued. Also note, it was not custom cut (tailored) or sized according to Owens’ specifications for game wear.
Interestingly, it was an item that came directly from the famous purchase of Terrell Owen’s Storage unit as reported by TMZ. Overall, it is a great NFL collectible by itself but since it came out of the unit with the provenance of being owned by Owens it makes it that more special.
A copy of the original purchase receipt will add proof and provenance.
