The entire football world will see just how good Matt Schaub is in 2007. After serving as Michael Vick’s able-bodied backup for three seasons, Schaub was traded to the Houston Texans in the offseason. The Texans released former No. 1 pick David Carr and have handed over the reigns of the offense to Schaub. This size “48” Falcons jersey was worn by Schaub during the 2005 season. While he didn’t see any extended on-field action – 33-64 for 495 yards and four touchdowns – he did don this jersey. Light overall wear is shown. The Cadora shoulders support a mesh body and spandex inserts are built into both sides. The identifiers are applied in two-color tackle twill. “SCHAUB” is sewn to a Cadora nameplate atop the verso numerals. Both sleeve ends are ribbed as was apropos for Schaub during this time period. Photos on Getty Images can confirm the sleeve styling favored by Schaub. The quarterback signed the verso “8” numeral in silver paint pen with the noteworthy inscription: “Game Used 2005.” A PSI hologram is affixed near the signature. A Reebok manufacturer’s tag is sewn into the tail with a suspended size “48” flag tag. The collar houses an “04-48” swatch. The winning bidder will be forwarded a photo of Schaub signing this jersey.
