2008 Jordan Staal Game-Used Blue Alternate Penguins Jersey (NHL Winter Classic) Incl. Team LOA & Mei Gray Patch

The NHL hit one out of the park when it came up with the concept of having a Winter Classic. Hearkening back to the game’s roots, the NHL has an outdoor contest Jan. 1 to get the new year off to a resounding start.
The idea was first used in 2008 when the Pittsburgh Penguins hooked up with Buffalo. This size "58" powder blue jersey was worn by one of the NHL’s brightest young stars – Jordan Staal. The youngest man to register a hat trick wore the jersey during the first period of the game played Jan. 1. Authentication is concrete as a Penguins team letter will attend. A Mei Gray patch is also administered on the inside. The use is light, as would be expected from a jersey used for a single period.
The style is impeccable. Highlighting the front is an oversized Penguins logo emblem and Winter Classic 2008 patch on the left breast. Also visible on front is a tie up and NHL emblem on crest. The numbers and NOB are created in two-color tackle twill. Sewn in the inner back tail is a Pittsburgh Penguins Winter Classic tag. The fight strap is signed by Penguins equipment manager Dana Heinze. Secured in the collar is a CCM size label.
Style and substance makes this offering a sure winner.
