Gilbert Arenas is a three-time NBA All-Star, three-time member of the All-NBA Team, and was voted the NBA Most Improved Player in the 2002–03 season. Arenas was nicknamed “Agent Zero”, due to his former jersey number and his late-game shot-making ability. Both names quickly became fan favorites during his time in the Washington, D.C. area. He has also been nicknamed “Gibby.” In 2009-10, Arenas played in 32 games during the 2009-10 campaign with 22.6 points and 7.2 assists per game.
Presented is a Gilbert Arenas game worn Washington Wizards jersey from 2009-10. The white Adidas Climalite home jersey has the manufacturer’s tag with Wizards exclusivity is sewn on the front tail, size “50” with a flag tag attached, “LENGTH + 4”, “2009-2010”. On the upper left chest is the official “NBA” logo embroidered. Across the chest reads, “WIZARDS”. The player number “0” appears on blue copper /black/tackle twill with zig-zag stitching. Across the back reads the player name, “ARENAS” in the same blue/copper tackle twill sewn directly onto the white mesh jersey. There’s also a special Abe Polin patch sewn on the chest. Overall, shows medium wear with soft malleable identifiers and tagging.
Abe Pollin was the owner of a number of professional sports teams including the Washington Capitals in the National Hockey League (NHL), the Washington Mystics in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), and the Washington Wizards in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Pollin was the longest-tenured owner of an NBA team, holding the Packers/Zephyrs/Bullets/Wizards franchise for 46 years. He was the chairman of the board, chief executive, and the majority shareholder of his company, Washington Sports and Entertainment, which owned the Wizards and the Verizon Center, amongst other entertainment interests. He was also the builder and owner of the Capital Centre, former home of the Washington Bullets (Now Wizards) and Capitals.
