Description
Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and John Smoltz were the Atlanta Braves most dominant starting pitchers for many years. “Mad Dog” won 194 games with the Braves and lost only 88 (.688 winning percentage). He is currently is eighth all-time in wins.
Maddux’s number “31” was retired by the Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame on a Friday night before they played the Mets. This game used second base was from that day vs. the Mets (July 17, 2009). It was decorated with Maddux’s number “31” for the special day. There was only six bases and a home plate created for the special day. Most were given to the upper level executives of the ball club. The base shows great use encompassed by diamond dirt throughout.
The game used scorecard was also from that day vs. the Mets (July 17, 2009). The Mets were blanked 17-0 by the Braves that day led by Brian McCann and Martin Prado home runs. The scorecard was signed on the bottom by the Braves Manager, Bobby Cox (also a fellow HOFer).
