On November 3, 2010, during a game against the Milwaukee Bucks, Paul Pierce scored his 20,000th career point on a free throw, becoming the third player in Celtics history to reach that milestone solely in a Celtics uniform. The Celtics finished the season with the number 3 seed in the Eastern Conference and swept the New York Knicks in the first round of the playoffs. In the second round, the Celtics took on the Miami Heat and their big three of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh. The Celtics lost to Miami, who eventually moved on to the NBA Finals, in five games.
Importantly, we have obtained this Collection from Paul Pierce, which includes all the practice uniforms, shoes, trophies, and photos. See the entire collection.
These are worn shoes are from Paul Pierce’s time with the Boston Celtics. The Nike Air Max Legacy 2 style dates to the 2010-11 era. For Pierce to wear on the court, Nike created this style and colorway for Black History Month. The shoe sports the familiar BHM black leather upper with gloss detailing on the toe, forefoot and heel. Paul’s nickname, “Truth,” is debossed across the midfoot cross-strap. Metallic gold accents a contrast design on the side panels, as well at the Swoosh, upper lace eyelets, tongue logo, #34 on the heel and Max Air unit.
Interior tagging reports a size “15” and features correct Promo coding. There is storage/aging wear, and general wear is showcased on the shoes with creasing in the toe box etc. Although they show use, it is unknown if they were worn by Pierce in a basketball game as we have not found photographic matches but it is possible.
Interestingly, it was an item that came directly from Paul Pierce. Overall, it is a great NBA collectible by itself but since they were owned worn by Paul Pierce, it makes it that more special.
