Dave Roberts was named manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers on November 23, 2015. He became the first minority manager in the franchise’s history. In 2016, the Dodgers set the MLB record in Roberts’s first year by placing 28 players on the disabled list throughout the season, as well the record for the most pitching changes (606) in a single season.

In 2017, the Dodgers won their fifth straight National League West championship and swept the Arizona Diamondbacks in three games in the Division Series. They advanced to the National League Championship Series for the second year in a row and the third time in five seasons, where they faced the Chicago Cubs for the second year in a row. They defeated the Cubs in five games and advanced to the World Series for the first time since 1988, where they lost to the Houston Astros in seven games.

Presented is a Dave Roberts’ team issued Los Angeles Dodgers jerseys from the NLDS in 2017. The jersey was issued for the NLDS (series) against the Chicago Cubs. MLB dated the jersey for November 8, 2017. The home jersey features “ROBERTS” name and number “30” sewn on the back, with “Dodgers” in script and a red numeral identifier “30.” The button-up jersey has the Majestic size 46 manufacturer label tag present on the tail. POSTSEASON17 patch is sewn onto the right sleeve. “LA ” logo sewn onto left sleeve in blue tackle twill. Note, the jersey has some yellow spot staining on the front/back from previous display.
