A Diego Maradona Game-Used #10 Argentina National Team Away Shirt. 1981.

A Diego Maradona Game-Used #10 Argentina National Team Away Shirt from the 1981 Season.  This top was worn on the pitch during match play by Maradona during a match in the summer of 1981.  Argentina went on a summer tour during the summer of 1981, playing a number of matches versus club teams and international squads.  This rare Le Coq Sportif away top is believed to only have been worn during this stretch in 1981.  Upon close inspection, you will come to find the following signs of use throughout the garment:  No heavy markings or damage exists.  It is unknown if this garment was washed at any point in it’s 35 year life.  There are obvious signs of age in the slight odor of the garment, and the overall feel of the materials.  There are some very minor marks when inspected closely.

1.  Sized appropriately for Maradona.  The garment appears to be sized similar to a modern day size Medium.  The garment fits snug, which is correct for Maradona in this era.

2.  Maradona’s squad number 10 applied to the back.  The number appears to be a heavy velvet that has been pressed into the fabric of the shirt.

3.  Garment is cream with blue trim to the neck and sleeve ends. 

4.  Le Coq Sportif logo applied to chest.  This painted/felt like material pressed to the garment.

5.  AFA crest stitched to chest.

6.  Le Coq Sportif identifier label to inner neckline.
