Albert Pujols Game-Used, Signed Bat, Used by Edgar Renteria

SKU: 30319 Category:

It’s common knowledge around baseball’s inner circle that players frequently trade equipment – especially bats. Honestly, who wouldn’t want to use Albert Pujols’ bats – which promise plenty of hits. Edgar Renteria brandished one of Albert’s model I13L Louisville Slugger bats at some point in the period 2003-04. The uncracked bat may have been used by Pujols and then ceded to Renteria. Deep blue baseball transfer marks are located on the right, left and back barrel. Blue and red back rack marks appear on the upper handle and right barrel. “5” is written on the cupped barrel end, while “33” appears on the knob. It seems that “5” was first written before “33” was superimposed. Light pine tar is applied to the handle and cleat marks are on the left barrel. Originally, the bat was donated by Cardinal pitcher Jeff Supan to Stillpoint Resources (a charitable organization). A letter signed by a Stillpoint executive is included. Pujols signed the barrel (“10”) in blue felt tip.
