Alou Diarra is a former French footballer. He was a French international from 2004-12. He primarily plays as a defensive midfielder, but can also deputise as a centre-back if necessary. Diarra is described as a player who is “strong, athletic and very powerful” and possesses a “combative edge”. Diarra is also known for his leadership ability and has served as captain of both Bordeaux domestically and France internationally. Diarra has participated in both the 2006 and 2010 editions of the FIFA World Cup. In the 2006 competition, he appeared in a group stage match against Togo and the final match against Italy as a substitute. In the 2010 edition, Diarra captained France for the first time in the team’s final group stage match against South Africa.
Presented is a game worn Alou Diarra shirt from the 2011 FIFA World Cup. The jersey was attributed to the France vs. Brazil friendly match held on 9/2/11 . The blue DriFit shirt is made by Nike [size L]. The France badge and Nike swoosh logo are sewn onto the chest. There are Nike club multi-lingual tags are in the inside seam which include exclusive codes and wash instructions – made in Thailand. There is also a small Nike Authentic patch near the bottom of the tail with coding. The back has his name “A. DIARRA” and jersey number “18” in white. Overall, a nice shirt from a tremendous player.
