Douglas Kirkland was born in 1934 in Toronto and lives currently with his wife in California. The star photographer became famous very early, especially for his photos of Marilyn Monroe taken in 1961 for the 25th-anniversary issue of the Look magazine. This is an original 2nd Generation Kirland Photograph which came from an art studio on Sana Monica Blvd in West Hollywood. This art studio sold exclusively Kirland photograph. This was originally purchased in 1980 and it’s been in a private collection since that time.  Letter of Provenance
