Description

We  Offer here is a Ancient 300 BC Patera Bowl from the Archaeological Digs from the 1960’s in Israel.  Moshe Dayan , one of Israel’s great Leaders led an Archaeological dig. All his finds were suppose to be donated to the National Museum in  Israel, however, General Dayan, had other thoughts, that of financial rewards. So he Sent items outside of Israel to be sold. This was purchased in the early 1970’s by my Relative in the Antiquities Business in New York . It has been in our family for over 45 years.  This Piece is marked item 73 on the bottom of the bowl, as many finds were numbered and documented . Additionally , inscribed on the front of bowl in clear print, “Judea BC 300 M.Dayan” for authenticity. The Bowl is in perfect shape measuring  approx 4 3/4″ wide x  by approx 2″ high . True Historic items like these never come up for sale in the market, as most artifacts are already in the many Museums for viewing around the world.
