Angelo Dundee Fight-Worn, Signed George Foreman Corner Jacket – PSA/DNA & Dundee LOA’sGo Back
Out of stock
Most figured George Foreman was a Geritol-consuming retiree who would never again put himself in harm’s way by stepping into the ring. Think again. In 1991, Foreman began his crusade to reclaim the heavyweight title. Despite seemingly insurmountable odds, Foreman knocked out Michael Moorer in 1994 to capture the heavyweight championship. It had been 20 years since Foreman could call himself champion. During the comeback, Angelo Dundee was in his corner. It was Dundee who trained Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard and countless other champions through the years.
Dundee wore this corner jacket (size ‘X-Lg.) during a Foreman fight. In tackle twill “WORLD CHAMPION GEORGE FOREMAN” is spelled across the back of this satin zip-up garment. Spartan manufacturer’s logos are sewn on the front (left breast) and verso. Red and blue striping accentuates the midsection. Dundee signed the front and added the inscription “Fight Used Jacket Geo. Foreman Oldest Heavyweight Champion 45 Yrs. Old Longest Length Between Titles 20 Years.” Authentication is provided by a Dundee signed letter which accompanies.
