Like his fellow Hall of Fame team-mate Greg Maddux…Glavine was a pitcher. Not blessed with an overpowering fast ball, he relied on breaking stuff and pinpoint control. A two time Cy Young winner, World Series Champ, World Series MVP…and on and on. A long and successful career.
This away gamer showcases Glavine at his best in 1992. He went 28-8 with five shutouts. The Braves won the National League pennant that season. The jersey features classic “ATLANTA” red and blue tackle twill with a tomahawk on the chest. The verso features “GLAVINE” in navy on the nameplate and his number “47” below. Lower left front tail provides Wilson [size] 44 (flap) tagging and “92” embroidered year swatch. Also autographed on the back by Glavine in black felt tip for (“9”) added measure. The jersey shows moderate wear with thread fraying throughout the identifiers and soft malleable tagging.
