B.B. King was more than just a musician, he was the Godfather and elder statesman of the blues. Every guitarist that has the blues in their blood still channels King in their play. Directly from the B.B. King Estate, this silk shirt was worn by the great iconic musician. With every performance, B.B. King would wear something meaningful and this shirt is simply marvelous. It’s a short sleeve yellow silk shirt with a tassel and medallion pattern.
He wore this in 1999 at the B.B. King Blues Festival at Universal Amphitheater in Universal City, California. The interior collar has a custom E-House tailoring tag. The provenance is from the family. It was featured in an auction by Julian’s that had his personal items in it from them. Remarkably to add supreme value, it also includes a photo match of King wearing it on stage during the Kenny Wayne portion of the performance.
