Babe Ruth Signed & Hand Written Postcard, Dated 1947

Out of stock

SKU: 37257 Category:

Babe Ruth was in Miami on April 16, 1947, when he mailed a postcard back to New York City where the fans were waiting for the season to start, and, presumably, the Bambino’s teammates had not yet arrived from their spring training stint in Florida. Knowing about the Babe’s taste for the night life, there was probably a story in all of that. In any case, the card was written with a steady hand and addressed to a couple staying at the Hotel Commodore in New York City. The postcard appears to be in vg/ex. condition with some slight discoloration, fraying, and bend marks around the edges. His signature, given as “Your Pal Babe”, is very readable. The item comes with an eye-catching black and white, posed 8″X10″ photo in ex/mt. condition of the Babe in uniform holding three bats as he stands outside a dugout. The photo also appears to be in ex/mt condtion. The whole item is beautifully mounted in a handsome display.
