Description

Babe Ruth had a monstrous 1927 season. The World Series was simply a feather in the cap of the team. Presented is a rare Yankees Ruth relic, 3-7/8”’long wooden mini-bat features a fully functioning five-hole harmonica titled, “Babe’s Musical Bat”. It was made by F.A. Rauner of Klingenthal, Germany and distributed by New York’s Bahmer Doscher musical instrument store, and was sold only at Yankee Stadium during Games 3 and 4 of the lopsided 1927 World Series. “BABE’S MUSICAL BAT” is engraved on the “barrel,” as is a “BD” distributor’s trademark. It is in incredible condition, with barrel stampings exhibiting little or no wear. The harmonica portion remains complete and operational. Overall, a rare survivor from baseball history.
