Nirvana Red Hot Chili Peppers Gig Poster from the Bill Graham Concert Series

This poster comes directly from promoter Bill Graham’s son Alex who did his best to solicit an award presentation posthumously from the L.A. Music Awards in 2000 for his late father. At the time the solicitation was made, the L.A. Music Awards did not present posthumous awards. In 2008, when a long time promoter and organizer of BOTH California Jam concerts Don Branker received an award for Outstanding Concert Promoter, Alex once again reached out and presented Al with a second poster as a gesture of goodwill. Al’s inability to provide airfare and hotel accommodations was the deal breaker for Alex Graham and they were unable to get the award presentation done.
