This item originates from the Roy Moseley collection. Moseley was one of the leaders in show business journalism in England. He wrote many books that appeared on the New York Time’s Best Seller List. Being an author in high regard had its perks, as he was closely connected to royalty and celebrities. Hence his notable work, “My Stars and Other Friends” provides a glimpse into the lifestyle us everyday people dream about. During his career, Moseley brilliantly gathered in person some of the finest autographs in the world. Some were personalized to him as a testament to their respect and kinship. Every celebrity has a story as well as every autograph Moseley obtained. Here now is one of those legacy pieces for your collection.

Between 1974 and 1981 Bjorn Borg became the first man in the Open Era to win 11 Grand Slam singles titles (six at the French Open and five consecutive at Wimbledon), although he was never able to win the US Open in four finals appearances. Overall, he set numerous records that still stand. Borg was the first player to win six French Open singles titles. He is considered to have been the No. 1 player in the world for 1977, 1978, 1979 and 1980.

Presented from Moseley’s collection is this autographed Borg 5×7 photo. The photo features the young tennis star in a red jacket and was autographed by him in contrasting blue ink (“8”). Borg added the personalization, “To Ray” for added provenance.
