Out of stock
Seven-time Pro Bowler, Bob Brown, plied an equally stellar career in his formative years at the University of Nebraska. There, in the early ’60’s, he earned an array of accolades as an offensive lineman, and that tenure culminated in his selection (2nd overall) by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1964. Here presented is the ring he earned in his contribution to Nebraska’s Orange Bowl victory in 1964. By modern standards, this piece is one of magnificent simplicity. Its central feature is a polished, transparent oval Cabachon Synthetic Ruby Stone stone set within the likeness of a bowled stadium. Flanking to the left is the identity in relief “1963 Big 8 Champions”, and to the right is the figural likeness of a footballer (a la the ‘Heisman posture’) notating “1964 Orange Bowl Champions.” The ring has been sized to 10-1/2. It is a Josten creation and the base composition is 10k gold. The ring bears evidence of only minimal wear; no damage or blemishes to any consideration of this beauty – NM/MT.
