Description
On President Truman’s orders, the B-29 Enola Gay, piloted by Paul Tibbets, dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. The second bomb was dropped on Nagasaki on August 9th and five days later, Japan surrendered. Truman later said that he had no great difficulty in reaching his decision. The question before him was how to end the war and save American lives. Ferebee signed this piece of parchment in blue pen (“8″). It measures 1″ x 2-1/4” and was encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
Authentication: PSA/DNA Encapsulation.
